Judaism as a faith and practice has been formed over time through an intricate pattern of textual analysis. Incorporating letters, commentaries and full volumes, this tradition seeks to collaboratively decipher and apply the singular set of teachings handed down through the Torah. Repeated references to a kind of divine alphabet form the basis of Jewish thought, creating a language that—for all its dialects—can be methodically traced back to the source.

The art of Orli Swergold and Henry Rosenberg mimics this structure, using visual citations of Judaism to comment on the personal and contemporary. Join us in a night of expressing this textual-visual tradition. Curated by Lindsay Leboyer.
